Batik Mahkota Laweyan participate in the Batikjuku festival organized by the Rock House OHAYOU Indonesia Bandung on January 8, 2011. This festival was held to introduce batik to young people in particular Harajuku communities (Harajuku fashion fans). In this case displayed several occasions, one of them is fashion show Batikjuku, Harajuku (Japanese original culture) combined with batik (indigenous Indonesian culture.)

Batik Wayang Beber, a product of Batik Mahkota Laweyan, the main attraction for the visitors of Solo booth Last Updated ( Sunday, 13 March 2011 12:41 ) Joint Refugee Batik MerapiJoint Refugee Batik MerapiBatik Kampoeng Laweyan in collaboration with Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta and the Batik Mahkota Laweyan held a batik training for the victims of the eruption of Mount Merapi from Balerante village, Klaten. The training was conducted in Klaten military headquarters with the aim to provide skills provision to those who have lost their livelihoods in their villages, which have been razed to the ground.
The trainees are practicing batik with the theme "Merapi eruption”
